3 pounds St. Louis Style Pork Ribs2 cups Water2 cups White Vinegar1 teaspoon Garlic Powder3 teaspoons Sat & Freshly Ground Black Pepper2 teaspoons Chinese 5-Spice Powder0.25 cup Tamari0.25 cup Rice Wine VinegarCombine the ribs, 1 cup water, and white vinegar in a resealable plastic bag, and shake to combine. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours if not overnight.
Drain the marinade, and pat the ribs with paper towels to absorb any excess liquid. Season the ribs with garlic powder, salt, pepper and with the 5-spice powder. Rest at room temperature for 20 minutes. Transfer the ribs into the bottom of a slow cooker, and top 1 cup water, tamari and rice wine vineger. And cook on high for 6 hours. Serve with a side of mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables.
