0.125 Teaspoon Salt1 Teaspoon Baking Powder2.5 Cups All-Purpose Flour1 Egg0.5 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract0.5 Cup Sugar0.66 Cup Unsalted Butter1 Cup Poppy SeedsBeat unsalted butter with sugar and egg until smooth. Stir in vanilla, flour, salt and baking powder, and mix well to a dough forms. Cover and chill in the refrigeator for 3 hours. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 375 degrees.Take 1/4 of the dough and roll it into a 1/8-inch thick sheet. Using a round cookie cutter cut out cookies. Spread a thin layer of water around the edge of the dough circles. Add a teaspoon of the poppy seeds to the center of the cookies, and fold it into triangle shape by first pressing the two sides together and then folding the third side over it.Place the cookies onto a greased cookie sheet, and bake for 14-16 minutes or until golden brown.
