Ingredients:
2 Cups Sifted All-Purpose Flour1 Tablespoon Ground Ginger2 Teaspoons Baking Soda1 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon0.5 Teaspoon Salt0.75 Cup Shortening1 Cup White Sugar1 Large Egg0.25 Cup Dark Molasses0.5 Cup Sugar2 Tablespoons Ground CinnamonPreheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking soda, ginger, salt and cinnamon. In a stand mixer, add shortening and beat until creamy. Add white sugar and combine with the shortening. Add egg and molasses and continue beating until combined.
Add 1/3 of the flour mixture into shortening mixture and blend well. Continue adding flour mixture until completely incorporated.
Form dough balls approximately 1 inch in diameter. Roll them in cinnamon & sugar and place on baking sheet.
Bake for 10 minutes, or until golden brown.
