Banh Mi SandwichPT25M Serves 6 Ingredients: 2 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil 0.25 Cup Soy Sauce 2 Tablespoons Fish Sauce 2 Tablespoons Ginger 3 Cloves Garlic 1 Large Shallot 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar 0.5 Teaspoon Ground Black Pepper 0.75 Pound Pork Tenderloin 1 Large French Baguette 0.33 Cup Mayonnaise 1 Teaspoon Sambal Oelek Chili Paste 6 Ounces Pork Pate 4 Ounces Black Forest Ham 1 English Cucumber 2 Cups South-East Asian Pickled Veggies 8 Cilantro Sprigs 1 Jalapeño Pepper In a bowl, add oil, fish sauce, soy sauce, shallot, garlic, ginger, brown sugar, and black pepper and mix until well combined. Add pork tenderloin and coat with oil mixture generously. Allow to marinate for at least 30 minutes. Preheat a grill pan over high heat. Grill pork for about 2 minutes per side. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, add sambal oelek and mayonnaise and mix until well combined. Spread mayonnaise mixture on the bottom of baguette evenly and top with pate, followed by ham, grilled pork, cucumber spears, pickled veggies, cilantro sprigs, and jalapeño slices evenly. Close the baguette and cut into 6 pieces before serving.
