Smart Recipes, European Recipes, Pork,Dairy Recipes, Recipes Pork,Dairy European Amazing Ham & Cheese Sandwich PT40M Serves 4 Ingredients: 1 Tablespoon Unsalted Butter 1 Tablespoon Unbleached All-Purpose Flour 0.75 Cup Hot Milk 0.75 Cup Parmesan Cheese 0.5 Pound Cooked Ham 0.5 Pound Swiss Cheese 2 Tablespoon Dijon Mustard 6 Tablespoon Butter 8 Slices Rustic Sourdough Loaf In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Add the flour, stirring continuously. Slowly, add milk, stirring continuously until sauce becomes thick. Bring to a gentle boil. Add cheese, stirring continuously until melted. Remove from heat and keep aside to cool slightly. Spread warm cheese sauce on the bottom slice of bread, top with ham. Spread Dijon mustard on the top slice of bread, and assemble sandwiches. Spread a thin layer of butter on the top of each sandwich. Meanwhile, preheat a panini press to medium-high heat. Press the sandwiches for about 3-4 minutes.
