A unique menu highlighting the classic savory & spicy flavors of Vietnamese cuisine
For an appetizer, I am making a fresh spring roll filled with shrimp, vegetables and savory Thai basil. For the entrée, I am featuring a shortcut Instapot version of Traditional Beef Pho, filled with the complex flavors of a rich homemade bone stock, star anise, cloves and cinnamon and served with tender slices of beef and fresh noodles. For a sweet finish, try my Sweet & Savory Sesame Seed pastries – an Asian inspired deep-fried treat filled with a sweet bean paste. And to wash it all down, I suggest a traditional Vietnamese Iced Coffee, a robust blend of espresso and sweetened condensed milk.

Saigon Fresh Spring RollsThese delicate, rice paper rolls are loaded with tender shrimp, shredded lettuce, nutty rice vermicelli, and fresh herbs. Serve them with this sweet & spicy dip for a yummy appetizer or a savory snack.
Vietnamese Pho BoThis classic Vietnamese beef & noodle soup is so hearty that it can serve as a main course. Use your Instapot to create a savory broth in just under an hour. The soup features aromatic spices, tender slices of rare beef, and plenty of tasty noodles, with a garnish of cilantro, mint and sliced Thai peppers. This dish is classic Vietnamese comfort food at its best!
Sweet Banh CamJust about every culture has its version of donuts, like this recipe for Vietnamese sweet bahn cams. The outside is delightfully crunchy with a generous coating of toasted sesame seeds and a sweet filling of bean paste & coconut. They are easy to make and are perfect for a quick Asian inspired dessert.
Vietnamese Style Iced CoffeeAre you a coffee aficionado? Try this refreshing Vietnamese-style iced coffee. It makes a lovely presentation in a tall glass with a layer of sweetened condensed milk and a layer of dark, flavorful and robust dark coffee. Serve over ice, and you will have a cold drink that everyone will love. The best part about this recipe, it doesn't require the specialized coffee brewer that typical Vietnamese coffee utilizes, just a standard coffee pot or French press will suffice.
