Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook bacon until crispy. Add onion and cook until golden brown. With a slotted spoon, transfer the bacon and onions to a bowl. Set aside. Heat the same skillet with bacon grease over high heat and saute mushrooms until softened, stirring frequently. Remove from heat and set aside.
