Smart Recipes, European Recipes, Vegetables Recipes, Recipes Vegetables European Rustic Gooseberry Tart Rustic Gooseberry Tart Recipe | PT1H Serves 4 Ingredients: 0.25 Teaspoon Salt 4 Scoops Vanilla Ice Cream 0.66 Cup Granulated Sugar 1.125 Cup All-Purpose Flour 6 Tablespoons Cold Unsalted Butter 3 Tablespoons Ice Water 0.33 Teaspoon Cinnamon 2 Cups Gooseberries In a large bowl, combine salt, 1/4 teaspoon of sugar and flour. Mix in butter and ice water to form a smooth dough. Shape into a disk, wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 400 degrees. In a small bowl, mix the remaining sugar and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon. Sprinkle over the dough and allow the dough to rest for 10 minutes. Combine the sugar mixture, with the prepared gooseberries. Top the dough with the gooseberry mixture, and form the dough into a 9" inch free form tart. Sprinkle with remaining cinnamon. Bake the tart for 50 minutes, in the center of the preheated oven.
