Smart Recipes, American Recipes, Beef Recipes, Recipes Beef American Ultimate Salisbury Steak PT30M Serves 4 Ingredients: 1 Pound Lean Ground Beef 0.33 Cup Panko Breadcrumbs Crumbs 1 Large Egg 1 Teaspoon Salt 0.25 Teaspoon Freshly Ground Black Pepper 2 Cups Beef Stock 1 Large Onion 1 Cup Button Mushrooms 3 Tablespoons Cornstarch 3 Tablespoons Water 1 Tablespoon Onion Powder 1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder 0.5 Teaspoon Ground Nutmeg 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, Panko breadcrumbs crumbs, onion powder, garlic powder, ground nutmeg, egg, salt & pepper, and mix until well combined. Shape mixture into 4 patties that are about 3/4 of an inch thick. Heat a large cast-iron skillet over medium heat, cook for 5 minutes per side. Add stock, sliced onions, and mushrooms, and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and cook for 10 minutes. Transfer the beef patties to a platter and set aside. Turn the heat to medium-high and bring to a boil. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water until combined and stir into the skillet, continue to stir until the sauce has thickened, about 1 minute. Dollop the sauce, and the mushrooms and onions over the patties and serve.
