Smart Recipes, Middle Eastern Recipes, Vegetables Recipes, Recipes Vegetables Middle Eastern Sumac Onions Sumac Onions Recipe | PT20M Serves 4 Ingredients: 1 Large Red Onion 2 Cups Hot Water 0.25 Cup Red Wine Vinegar 1 Small Bunch Fresh Parsley 1 Tablespoon Ground Sumac 1 Tablespoon Extra-Virgin Olive Oil 0.125 Teaspoon Salt In a large bowl, combine the onions and hot water. Set aside for 10 minutes. Drain well and pat dry with a paper towel. Combine the red wine vinegar and drained onions in a large bowl and marinate for about 10 minutes. Drain the onions again, reserve about 1 teaspoon of the vinegar. Add parsley to the onions and season with the ground sumac, olive oil and salt. Stir to combine well and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
