3 Teaspoons Sugar2 Cups Lukewarm Water2 Teaspoons Active Dry Yeast4 Cups All-Purpose Flour0 To Taste Kosher Salt2 Tablespoons ButterStir the sugar and water together in a bowl until well dissolved. Sprinkle with the yeast and keep aside for about 10-15 minutes. Mix the flour and salt together in a bowl. Add the yeast mixture and stir until well combined. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place in warm place for about 1 hour.
With two forks, punch down the dough, scraping it from the sides of the bowl. Divide the dough into two equal portions. Grease two oven-safe bowls with about 1 tablespoon of butter each. Place each portion into the bowls and keep aside for about 20-30 minutes to rise near a warm place.Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F. Bake for 15 minutes. Reduce oven to 375 degrees and bake for another 15-17 minutes. Remove from the oven and place the loaves onto cooling racks for about 10 minutes before slicing.
