1 Cup Dark Corn Syrup1 Cup Semisweet Chocolate Morsels1 Cup Pecans0.5 Cup Granulated Sugar0.25 Cup Bourbon0.5 Cup Brown Sugar4 Large Eggs2 Teaspoons Cornmeal0.25 Cup Butter2 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract0.5 Teaspoon SaltPreheat oven to 325 degrees F. Press pie crust into a 9 inches pie plate dish and tuck in the edges. Sprinkle pie with chocolate morsels and pecans. Mix together corn syrup, sugars and bourbon or water in a saucepan and heat until it boils over medium heat. Cook for 3 minutes with constant stirring and then remove from heat. Whisk eggs with cornmeal, butter, salt and vanilla extract in a medium bowl. Now stir in one-fourth of corn syrup mixture and whisk constantly. Add remaining corn mixture and whisk until well combined. Pour this filling over piecrust. Bake until pie is set, about 55 minutes. Cool completely before serving.
