2 Medium Red Potatoes1 Pound Clams In Shell1 Pound Mussels0.5 Pound Unpeeled Large Shrimp6 Cups Chicken Broth0.25 Cup Dry Vermouth1.5 Cups Butter1 French Bread LoafCut 1/2 cup of butter into cubes.In the bottom of a large pan, arrange potatoes in a layer, followed by clams, mussels, and shrimp. Place vermouth and enough chicken broth to fill the pan halfway and top with butter cubes. With a lid, cover the pan and then, with a piece of foil, seal it tightly. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for about 45 minutes.Remove from heat and carefully, uncover the pan. With a slotted spoon, transfer the seafood and potatoes onto a large platter.In a small frying pan, melt 1/2 cup of butter and divide into 4 individual dishes for dipping.Spread remaining 1/2 cup of softened butter over bread. Serve seafood mixture alongside French bread and melted butter.
