Smart Recipes, European Recipes, Dairy,Eggs Recipes, Recipes Dairy,Eggs European Golden Crescent Rolls Golden Crescent Rolls Recipe | PT32M Serves 12 Ingredients: 1 Cup Sugar 0.2 Teaspoon Dry Yeast 2 Cups Warm Water 1.75 Cups Butter 6 Eggs 2.27 Cups All-Purpose Flour 1.5 Teaspoons Salt 1 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream 1 Cup Powdered Sugar 1.5 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract In a large bowl, add 2 tablespoons of the sugar, yeast and warm water and mix well. Keep aside till it rises. Add remaining 1 cup of the sugar, 1 cup of the melted butter and eggs and mix well. Add 4 cups of flour and salt and mix well. Add remaining 4½ cups of flour and with a wooden spoon, mix till well combined. Cover the bowl and keep aside for about 2 hours. With your hands, punch the dough well. Dust a smooth surface with ½ of the remaining flour. Divide the dough into 4 portions. Place ¼ of the dough, one at a time onto the floured surface. Dust each portion with the enough from the remaining flour. Roll each portion into ¼-1/3-inch thick circle. Grease 4 large baking sheets and keep aside. In a bowl, add 1/3 cup from the remaining melted butter. Coat the surface of each portion with some of the remaining 1/3 cup of butter. With a pizza cutter, cut each portion into 12 equal sized pieces. Starting from the wide end, roll up each piece. Arrange each roll onto the prepared cookie sheet, with the point facing down. Cover the baking sheets with thin kitchen towel and keep aside for about 2 hours. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Arrange a rack in the middle of the oven. Place the baking sheet in the oven, one at a time. Bake for about 10 minutes. Meanwhile for glaze; in a microwave safe bowl, add cream and remaining 1/3 cup of the butter and microwave on High for about 1-1½ minutes. Add sugar and vanilla extract and beat till well combined. Remove rolls from oven and immediately coat the rolls with remaining butter. Pour the glaze over the rolls and serve.
