They are almost entirely protein and fruit with very little else. Smart Recipes, Vegetarian Recipes, Vegetables Recipes, Recipes Vegetables Vegetarian Cherry, Date & Nut Bars Cherry, Date & Nut Bars Recipe | PT20M Serves 3 Ingredients: 0.66 Cup Dried Tart Cherries 1 Cup Raw Almond 0.25 Cup Whole Dates 0.25 Teaspoon Fine Salt 2 Tablespoons Toasted Sesame Seeds 0.25 Cup Apricots Soak cherries, dates and apricots in warm water for 10 minutes. In a food processor, pulse the almonds till they are in small bits. Add in drained fruits, flax seed, salt. Continue to pulse till the mixture forms. Add a teaspoon of water if needed. Roll the mixture into a log. Take sesame seeds in a plate and roll the log into it to coat the roll with sesame seeds. Lightly spray a 9x5 inch loaf pan with cooking spray. Place log into the prepared pan and refrigerate for about 1 hour or until firm. Once firm slice into bars and serve.
