Ingredients:
2 Pounds Strawberries1 Cup Sugar1 Teaspoon Vanilla0.5 Medium LemonIn a pan, combine all the ingredients over medium-high heat and bring to a gentle boil, stirring continuously. Cook for about 5 minutes or until the strawberries become very soft. Remove from heat and with a potato masher, mash completely.Through a fine mesh strainer, strain the mixture into a bowl, pressing with the back of a spoon. Reserve the pulp if you may want to add some to the finished sauce.Remove the foam from the top of the sauce. Return the sauce to the same pan over medium-high heat and bring to a boil. Cook for about 3 minutes, removing any foam from the surface. Remove from the heat and keep aside to cool slightly before serving. Add the reserved pulp to the sauce for some added texture or leave it plain.
