Methi Paratha is a Punjabi bread, usually eaten for breakfast, that can be enjoyed any time. It is made with fenugreek leaves, flour, and cumin seeds. The seasoning is a combination of turmeric, ginger garlic and chili peppers. It is not your average morning toast. This is a piece of culinary art. Smart Recipes, Indian Recipes, Grains Recipes, Recipes Grains Indian Methi Paratha Methi Paratha Recipe | PT25M Serves 2 Ingredients: 0.5 Cup Fenugreek Leaves 1 Green Chilli 0.25 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds 1 Teaspoon Ginger Garlic 0.25 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder 0.5 Teaspoon Salt 1 Cup Wheat Flour 0 Oil In a skillet, heat 2 teaspoons oil on medium heat. Add cumin seed and cook few seconds. Add ginger garlic paste and cook few more seconds. Add fenugreek leaves, chopped chili, turmeric powder and cook for about 2 to 4 minutes until leaves are wilted. Remove from the heat and allow to cool. In a bowl, mix together flour, salt and fenugreek mixture. Now, knead the dough with enough warm water. Set aside for about 30 minutes. Make 5 equal sized balls. Flour the rolling area, sprinkle flour over the balls and roll into even sized circles, slightly thicker than roti. Drizzle oil in a pan and heat, place the paratha gently and cook until its color changes, flip and cook the other side until the brown spots appear. Gently flip it and apply some more oil on the top part and cook until nicely golden. Serve with your favorite dip or a chutney.
