8 Ounces Fresh Salmon Steaks2 Teaspoons Cooking Oil1 Tablespoon Butter Or Margarine1 Teaspoon Cornstarch1 Dash Ground White Pepper0.5 Cup Half And Half1 Egg Yolk2 Tablespoons Dry White WinePreheat a 6½-inch microwave-safe dish on High power for about 3 minutes. In the heated dish, add cooking oil and swirl to coat. Arrange salmon steaks in the dish in a single layer. Cover the dish and microwave on 100% power for about 30 seconds. Flip salmon steaks and microwave, covered on 50% power for about 3 minutes.Remove from microwave and keep aside, covered.For Wine Sauce: In a microwave-safe bowl, add butter and microwave on 100% power for about 45-60 seconds. Stir in cornstarch and white pepper. Add half-and-half and stir to combine well. Now, microwave on 100% power for about 2-3 minute, stirring after every 1 minute.In another bowl, add egg yolk and half of hot cream and mix well. Return egg yolk mixture to the bowl of cream mixture and mix well. Microwave uncovered, on 50% of power for about 1 minute, stirring after every 15 seconds. Remove from microwave and stir the mixture till smooth. Add wine and stir to combine.Serve salmon steaks with the topping of wine sauce.
