1 Tablespoon Butter0.25 Cup Milk1 Cup Rolled Oats1 Pinch Kosher Salt1 Pinch Ground Cinnamon0 To Taste Maple Syrup0.75 Cup Water0 To Taste Pecans Or AlmondsHeat a large skillet over medium heat and melt butter in it. Toast 1 cup of oats for 5 to 7 minutes with constant stirring until oats leave a nutty fragrance. In another large and heavy pot add milk, cinnamon, salt and ¾ cup of water. Bring to a bowl over medium heat and stir in toasted oats too. Turn the heat off, cover and let cook without heat for about 7 minutes. While serving, top with maple syrup, toasted nuts and/or additional milk if you desire.
