6 Slices Bread0.25 cup Canned Black Eyed Peas2 Teaspoons Oil1 Small Onion0.5 Teaspoon Ginger Garlic0 To Taste Salt0 To Taste Red Chilli Powder0.25 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder0.5 Teaspoon Garam Masalah1 To Taste Lemon Juice1 Tablespoon CilantroMash black eyes peas and set aside.
Heat oil in a pan and sauté onion and ginger garlic paste until lightly golden brown. Add in mashed peas, salt, turmeric, red chili powder and garam masala and stir well. Add a splash of water and cook for 3 to 4 minutes. Add more water if the mixture is too dry. Remember it should be spreadable. Add in coriander and mix well. Turn the heat off and drizzle lemon juice. Let it cool a bit. Spread the mixture on toasted bread slices and serve hot.
