Ingredients:
6 ounce Ancho & New Mexico Dried Chilies16 n/a Chile De Arbol6 tablespoons Cumin Seeds6 tablespoons Garlic Powder4 tablespoon Ground OreganoPreheat oven to 300 degrees. Arrange the chiles on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for about 4-5 minutes. Remove pan from oven and remove smaller pods from the pan as they toast quicker. Then bake larger pods for about 4-5 minutes more. Remove from oven and keep aside to cool completely. After cooling, break each Chile into 2-3 pieces. In a blender, add broken Chiles briefly and pulse till powdered. Add remaining ingredients and pulse till just combined. This chili mixture can be stored in a jar or other covered container for up to 3 months.
