Baked Tempeh With Tamari Mustard SaucePT1H20M Serves 4 Ingredients: 3 Tablespoon Vegetable Oil 1 Pound Tempeh 1 Cup Onions 1 Teaspoon Ground Cumin 0.33 Teaspoon Cayenne Pepper 1 Teaspoon Ground Fennel 1 Teaspoon Chili Powder 1 Teaspoon Ground Coriander 1 Medium Bell Pepper 1 Large Lemon 2 Tablespoons Tamari Soy Sauce 2 Tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar 3 Tablespoons Dark Brown Surgar 8 Ounces Tomato Paste 1 Tablespoon Yellow Mustard Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Heat oil and sauté onions with garlic, fennel, chili, cumin, coriander and cayenne pepper until onions are softened. Add tempeh and bell pepper and sauté until tempeh is browned. Meanwhile whisk together lemon juice, soy sauce, vinegar, tomato paste, brown sugar, mustard, hot sauce and 1 cup of water in a bowl. Pour over cooked tempeh mixture. Transfer tempeh mixture to a baking dish and bake covered for 30 minutes and uncovered for another 30 minutes. Serve with cooked white rice.
