6 Tablespoons Butter10 Ounces White Mushrooms2 Medium Shallots10 Ounces Crimini Mushrooms2 Tablespoons Fresh Sage Leaves0.75 Cup Heavy Cream0.5 Cup All Purpose Flour0.75 Cup Bourbon0.125 To Taste Salt And Freshly Ground Black Pepper2 Pounds Fresh Green Beans1.5 Cups Fried Onion Strings2 Cups Vegetable BrothHeat 4 tablespoons of butter over medium heat, in a large skillet. Sauté shallots in butter for 3 minutes or until translucent. Add in thyme, mushrooms and sage and simmer 10 minutes. Add flour and cook 5 minutes more.
Whisk in bourbon and cook for 5 minutes or until slightly thickened. Stir in cream and cook for 5 minutes. Set aside.
Melt rest of the butter over high heat in a large skillet. Stir in beans and cook for about 7 minutes or until beans turn into bright green color. Season and transfer to a serving platter. Heat the previously prepared sauce, spoon over beans and serve.
