Allow your pie shell to defrost for at least 15 minutes if frozen. In a large mixing bowl, combine 1/2 cup of the sugar, 1/4 cup of the brown sugar, 3 tablespoons of flour, 3/4 teaspoon of cinnamon and nutmeg. Stir in the apples and mix well. In another large mixing bowl, combine remaining flour, sugar, brown sugar and cinnamon. With a pastry cutter, cut in butter until a crumbly texture is formed. Arrange apples in the bottom of prepared pie crust and top with crumb mixture evenly. Arrange pie onto a foil-lined baking sheet, and for 45-55 minutes. Remove from oven and keep onto a wire rack to completely before serving.

In this recipe, I am using a store-bought frozen crust, feel free to subistute a homemade one. But, I must admit I love the frozen crusts because it makes it so easy to whip up a pie when my sweet thooth comes knocking.
