12 Large Purple Or Black Figs3 Ounce Soft Goat Cheese0.25 Cup Walnuts0.25 Teaspoon Sea Salt0.25 Cup HoneyPreheat the oven to 350 degrees. Arrange a rack in the middle of oven. Line a small baking sheet with a piece of foil.Carefully, create a flat surface on top of each fig by cutting the stem tip off the figs. Now hollow out the center of each fig by inserting a sharp knife in the middle of the figs until its 3/4 inside. Remove any seeds or flesh by rotating the knife clockwise or anticlockwise. In a pastry bag, place goat cheese and with your hands, massage it for about one minute. Then, push the cheese to a bottom corner of the pastry bag. With a pair of scissors, cut the tip of that corner off the bag. Pipe about 1 teaspoon of cheese into the center of each fig. Arrange the stuffed figs onto the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.In a spice grinder, add walnuts and pulse until a coarse powder is formed. Add walnut powder into a small skillet over medium heat and toast for about 3-5 minutes, stirring continuously. Immediately, transfer the toasted walnut powder into a small bowl. Add salt and mix well. Keep aside. In a small pan, add honey over medium heat and cook for about one minute or until it becomes soft and fluid. Transfer the fluid honey into a small cup with a spout. Drizzle each stuffed fig with honey and sprinkle with salted walnut powder evenly.Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until the figs and cheese are heated completely.Remove from oven and keep aside to cool slightly before serving.
