Score top of ham in a diamond pattern. Insert whole cloves in center and points of diamond. In a bowl, add brown sugar and ginger ale and mix until well combined. Arrange the ham into a large roasting pan and top with ginger ale mixture evenly. Roast for about three hours, basting with pan liquid occasionally.
