Cut tofu into 1/4-inch thick pieces. In a bowl, add 1/2 cup water, soy sauce, sugar, salt and pepper flakes and mix until well combined. In a non-stick pan, heat peanut oil over high heat and sauté tofu for about 7-8 minutes per side, flipping occasionally. Set aside. In the same pan, add onion, green onions and garlic over medium-high heat and sauté for a few minutes. Combine sauce and simmer until mixture becomes thick, stirring continuously. Stir in tofu and cook for about 1 minute. Stir in sesame oil and remove from heat. Garnish green onion and sesame seeds, serve immediately.
