1 Cup Sushi Rice0.25 Cup Black Sesame Seeds0.25 Cup Mirin0.25 Cup Rice Wine Vinegar0.25 Cup White Sugar1 Tablespoon Salt2 Tablespoons Oil0.25 Cup Vegetarian Furikake Rice SeasoningIn a small pan, combine mirin, rice wine vinegar, white sugar and salt over medium heat and stir until sugar and salt dissolve. Bring to a gentle boil and set aside. Meanwhile, in a rice cooker, place the rice and 1 cup of water and cook according to the manufacturer’s instructions.Spread the warm rice in a wooden bowl and sprinkle with 1/4 cup of black sesame seeds. Sprinkle the rice with 1/4 cup of the rice seasoning and with a wide spoon, gently fold the rice. Divide the rice into 4 equal sized portions. With your hands, shape each portion into a burger bun. Arrange the buns onto a plate and cover with a wet cloth. In a small non-stick frying pan, heat some oil over medium heat and sear rice buns for about three to five minutes per side. Transfer the cooked onto a plate and cover with a wet cloth.
