4 Whole Turnips3 Cloves Garlic2 Cups Gruyere Cheese4 Tablespoons Butter0.25 Cup Chicken Stock0.25 Cup Heavy Cream0.25 Teaspoon Salt & Freshly Ground Black PepperPreheat the oven to 375 degrees.In a large cast-iron skillet over medium-low heat, melt butter. Place a single layer of turnips on top of the butter. Sprinkle minced garlic on top of the turnips followed by adding the chicken stock and cream. over the turnips. Layer 1/2 cup of Gruyere on top. Repeat these layers twice more. Sprinkle on some freshly ground black pepper.Bake for about 20 minutes or until the top is hot, brown and bubbly.
