Smart Recipes, Indian Recipes, Chicken,Grains Recipes, Recipes Chicken,Grains Indian Chicken Biryani Chicken Biryani Recipe | PT45M Serves 4 Ingredients: 1.5 Cups Basmati Rice 2 Tablespoons Butter 1 Large Onion 1 Bay Leaf 3 Cardamom Pods 1 Small Cinnamon Stick 1 Teaspoon Ground Turmeric 4 Skinless Chicken Breasts 4 Tablespoons Curry Paste 3 Ounce Raisins 3.5 Cups Chicken Stock 0.25 Cup Cilantro 0 Toasted Flaked Almonds In a bowl of warm water, soak rice for 10-20 minutes. Then, wash in cold water until the water runs clear. Drain well. In a pan, melt butter and cook onions, bay leaf and whole spices for about 10 mins, stirring occasionally. Add chicken, curry paste and turmeric and cook until aromatic. Add rice and raisins and stir to combine. Add stock and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 5 minutes or until all liquid is absorbed. Remove from heat and keep aside, covered for about 10 minutes before serving. Stir in half of cilantro. Garnish with remaining cilantro and the almonds and serve.
