Form a 1-inch ball of dough and flatten it into a pancake. If the edges crack, add 1/4 cup of water (1 tablespoon at a time) to the dough and mix well. Form 12 approximately 1-inch dough balls and flatten them like a pancake. Place a bean filling in the center of each and fold the dough together. Roll into a ball to seal seams. In a small bowl, add sesame seeds and roll each dough ball in them to completely coat. Arrange dough balls on a sheet pan, cover with a sheet of cheesecloth, and chill for at least 1 hour. In a deep fryer, heat oil to 325 degrees. Place dough balls in oil in small batches, turning frequently for even browning, about 5 minutes. With slotted spoon, transfer bahn cam to a plate lined with paper towels to drain.
