This decadent and very lemony tart with a shortbread crust is a very easy and perfect dessert. The crust comes together in just minutes, and the homemade lemon curd is sublime. This is one of my favorite desserts to serve after a rich meal. Smart Recipes, American Recipes, Eggs Recipes, Recipes Eggs American Lemon Tart Lemon Tart Recipe | PT1H Serves 8 Ingredients: 2 Cups Granulated Sugar 0.75 Cup Unsalted Butter 0.5 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract 1 Pinch Salt 2.25 Cups All-Purpose Flour 3 Large Eggs 0.5 Cup Fresh Lemon Juice 1 Tablespoon Lemon Zest 1 Teaspoon Powdered Sugar In a bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, combine a 1/2 cup of sugar, butter, vanilla extract, and salt and mix until well combined. Add 1 3/4 cups of flour and mix until a smooth dough is formed. Transfer the dough into a 9-inch tart pan and press into the pan. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake crust for 15-20 in the preheated oven minutes. Remove from oven and keep aside to cool. Meanwhile, In a bowl, add 1/2 cup of flour, 1 1/2 cups of sugar, eggs, lemon juice, and lemon zest and whisk until smooth. Pour filling mixture into crust evenly. With strips of aluminum foil, cover the edges of crust, and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and keep aside to cool completely. Dust with powdered sugar and serve.
