1 Tablespoon Ground Flaxseed0.25 Cup Water15 Ounces Black Beans0.25 Cup Panko Breadcrumbs1 Clove Garlic1 Teaspoon Salt & Freshly Ground Black Pepper0.5 Tablespoon Vegan Worcestershire Sauce0.125 Teaspoon Liquid Smoke Flavoring1 Tablespoon Olive OilCombine flaxseed with water in a small bowl and allow to hydrate for 5 minutes and drain. Meanwhile, with a potato masher lightly mash the black beans until broken down.Combine flaxseed with garlic, salt, mashed black beans, breadcrumbs, liquid smoke and Worcestershire sauce. Form 4 equal sized patties, and rest in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.Heat olive oil in cast iron skillet over medium-high heat, and fry the patties 5 minutes per side. Serve with a simple green salad.
