1 Pound Maple Flavored Pork Sausage6 Cups Whole-Wheat Sandwich Bread10 Eggs3 Cups Skim Milk1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract1 Teaspoon Salt2 Large Granny Smith Apples2 Tablespoons Sugar1 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon2 Cups Cheddar CheeseHeat a skillet and cook the sausage until browned completely. Drain the grease and set aside.In a large bowl, add milk, eggs, vanilla and salt and beat until well combined. In another bowl, add apples, sugar and cinnamon and toss to coat.In the bottom of a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, arrange half of the bread cubes evenly. Top with half of the cooked sausage, followed by half of the chopped apples and 1 cup of cheese. Repeat with remaining ingredients. Spread the egg mixture on top evenly. Refrigerate overnight before baking.Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Bake, uncovered for about 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.Remove from the oven and serve warm.
