Smart Recipes, European Recipes, Other Recipes, Recipes Other European Cava Spritzer Cava Spritzer Recipe | PT10M Serves 4 Ingredients: 0.75 Cup Fino Sherry 0.25 Cup Ginger Syrup 1 Cup Sparling Cava 1 Small Lime 1 Medium Lemon 1 Cup Sugar 1 Cup Water 2 Tablespoons Fresh Ginger 1 Bay Leaf 0.5 Teaspoon Freshly Ground Black Pepper Ginger syrup: In a saucepan over medium-low heat, add water, sugar, ginger, bay leaf and pepper and stir until sugar dissolves. Remove from the heat and allow to cool. Transfer to a glass jar, seal with a lid, and refrigerate overnight. Use a fine-mesh sieve to strain & discard solids before using. In a cocktail pitcher, combine sherry & ginger syrup. Stir well to combine. Fill 4 tumblers with ice cubes and fill each 3/4 way full with cocktail. Top each drink off with 1/4 cup Cava and garnish with lemon & lime wedges to serve.
