Ingredients:
2.25 Cups Whole Milk1 Teaspoon Salt1 Cup Quick-Cooking Grits0.5 Pound American Cheese0.5 Pound Sharp Cheddar Cheese0.25 Cup Butter0.125 Teaspoon Garlic Powder2 Large EggsPreheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9x12-inch casserole dish with a pat of butter & set aside.In a large saucepan over medium-high heat, add milk & salt and bring to a boil. Slowly, sprinkle grits into the boiling liquid, stirring continuously until well combined. Cook & stir until mixture slightly thickens, about 5 minutes.Add butter, both the cheeses, & garlic powder and stir until cheese melts completely. Remove from heat and set aside to cool for 15 minutes. Add beaten eggs and stir to combine well. Spoon grits mixture into prepared baking dish evenly. Bake until top is golden brown & heated through, about 45 minutes. Remove from oven and allow casserole to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
