1 Large Egg0.66 Cup Granulated Sugar1.25 Cups All-Purpose Flour4 Large Eggs1.25 Cups Granulated Sugar1 Medium Lemon2 Cups Whole Almonds0.25 Cup Powdered SugarIn a medium bowl, add one egg, the sugar and one tablespoon of water; mix until a creamy consistency is formed. Using a rubber spatula, fold in the flour until the dough no longer sticks to the sides of the bowl. Add more flour, if needed. Set aside.Prepare the filling, combine the eggs, sugar and beat until creamy, about 1 minute. With a rubber spatula, fold in the ground almonds and lemon zest. Set aside.Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 350 degrees. And, on a lightly floured surface, roll the dough out and then fit into a well greased baking mold. Prick the dough with a fork and then pour in the filling. Bake until the cake is golden brown, about 30 minutes. Remove from oven and allow cake to cool in the pan, and then transfer to a serving dish. Decorate with powdered sugar and fruit, if desired
